About me:
I am a professional digital artist in the video game industry
for more than 20 years and have been painting my own
dolls for more 11 years. I have been painting, drawing,
sewing and experimenting in art since I could hold a pencil. :-)
I do not paint recasted dolls and/or parts. Thank you for your understanding.
Products Used:
• Airbrush Paints: Vallejo Model Air, Com Art and Golden Airbrush Paints
• Acrylics: Vallejo Model Color, Golden Fluid and Volks
• Pastels: Schmincke, Sennelier, Unison and Pan.
• Mediums and Glosses: Pebeo and Liquidtex Ultra Matte, Liquitex Gloss Varnish and Tamiya Gloss.
Commissions Method :
Lottery style, limited slots. Information about the lottery will
be posted on my Instagram. Please read my FAQ before
you apply for a lottery commission spot.

Like people, my face ups are my own unique style. They
are NOT symmetrical. I paint with the sculpt and not
against it. In other words, I can’t paint something that is
not possible from the sculpt such as painting the eyebrows
outside of the natural shape of the sculpt or paint your doll
smiling when it’s clearly scowling. That said, there is a
certain degree that I can work within each sculpt, such as I
can highlight or reduce something that is already sculpted
in. (i.e. Dollshe IM Hound could be scowly, sad, pensive
but I can’t paint him happy) or work with a fix expression
(ie. Unoa Lusis Yawn face plate - could be painted singing,
screaming, crying, etc .. but I can’t paint it smiling)
I use a combination of airbrushing, skin texturing, pastel
shading and fine lines to highlight the features of the
sculpt. My work is not as “clean” as some other face up
artists and I have my own distinctive style. If you are
looking for a very “clean” or company like default face up, I
am NOT your face up artist. Please find someone else to
paint your doll. Also, please don’t ask me to paint like another artist.
If you like that artist’s style, please commission them instead.
I am not interested in painting celebrities, Minimee heads
or anime characters and dolls smaller than YoSD
(exception is Popovy).
Style types :
Just like people, no two dolls are alike. I will not copy
myself or any other artist. If I have painted a doll that you
think is what you would like for your doll, please send me
the link (from my Flickr) and I will paint your doll in a
similar, inspired by fashion.
To help you achieve the look that you would like to
commission, I’ve created 4 types of face ups that reflect
my individual style. In each style, I’ve suggested
companies that I believe work best. However, they are
suggestions and not restrictions.
Dreamy Air:
This is my interpretative style similar to what many popular
Japanese and Korean artists produce. Lots of airbrushing,
little to no texturing of skin, light to medium shading, fine
lines and an overall heavier, dreamier look.
Suggested companies for this style : Volks, Switch, Luts, etc…
Daydreaming :
This is a style half way between Dreamy Air and Augmented Reality. Airbrushed base, some skin texturing, medium shading and finish with some fine lines.
Fantasy :
Pastel or bold, this a face up style with unrealistic or
fantastical colors like pinks, blues, greens, metallics, etc
… Airbrushed base with minimal texturing and fine details. Almost anything goes here.
Suggested companies for this style : SOOM monthly dolls,
Doll Chateau, Antro characters, almost any head, etc …
Augmented Reality:
(Not Available at this time)
Like the name suggests, I’ve crafted my own unique style
of make up ideal for the those customers looking for a very
realistic and textured skin look. You can expect textured
skin, subtle color accents to bring out the dimensions of
skin tone, pastel shading around the nose, and extremely
fine, delicate lines to highlight that ultra realistic look.
Suggested companies for this style : Iplehouse, Dollshe, 5th
Motif
Payment :
* PayPal
* All funds must be in USD
* Payment to be rendered when face up is complete.
* Doll will not be shipped back to you until payment has
cleared PayPal.
* Prices do not include shipping back to you.
* I do not accept layaway on face up or aesthetic services
Shipping :
* via USPS
* All parcels being sent back to you, must have a tracking
number. No exceptions.
* International, please let me know what you would
declared value of the parcel.
* Doll heads will be well packed but I am not responsible
for items lost or mishandled by the post. I will insure your
item(s) per your instructions. Please make sure you have
the appropriate amount of insurance.
* I am not responsible for any country custom fees or
taxes that your might experience when the doll comes
back to you.
Process :
* Once I receive the head, I will complete the face up in 2
weeks unless there is weather conditions like extreme
heat and humidity.
* I will provide photos to you once the head it complete
* If you do not like the face up, you can request a 1 time
redo for and extra cost. I charge an additional 50% of the
original service. For example, if your service is Artist
choice and you want a redo, your price will be $150 USD
for the original service + $75 USD (50% of the same
service) = $225 USD + shipping back to you. There will be
no second do over.
Do’s and Don’ts :
Do :
* Send me a clean head, free from any old face up, paint
or debris. If I have to spend time cleaning it, I will have to
charge you for it.
* Remove your doll’s eyes from the head
* Include a faceplate to protect your doll’s face up when it
travels back to you
* Ship in a sturdy, cardboard shipping box.
* Read my FAQ throughly before applying for a
commission spot
* Fill out the face up form
Don’t :
* Ship your doll in an envelop or bubble mailer
* I don’t do modifications. I may consider something if it is
very small like removal of Unoa eyebrows
* I don’t accept modded heads for face ups as I cannot
guarantee my work in conjunction with the mods
* I do not repair face ups - mine or any other artist as I
cannot guarantee the work.
* I do not accept recasted dolls
Services :
Face up service includes :
- 1 Face up (see types below)
- 1 pair of glue in eyelashes
- Preview photos for approval
Face up service does not include :
- Removal of old face up
- Removal of hot glued in eyes
- Face plate cover
- Any sanding that might be required to even out the resin
before a face up can be applied
- The cost of shipping back to you
Face up prices : (same price for all sizes)
Artist choice - $150 USD
Partial choice - $175 USD
Customer choice - $225 USD
Re-do of face up : 50% of the original cost - Ex : If you
have commissioned an Artist Choice face up ($150 USD)
and are not happy with the finished product, I will wipe it
and repaint the head for an additional 50% of the original
service ($75 USD). $150 USD + $75 USD = $225 USD +
shipping back to you
Other services prices :
Old face up removal : $15 USD
Light surface sanding (for older dolls and uneven surfaces
for a better face up) : $5.00
Removal of hot glued eyes : $15 USD
Additional pairs of glued in eyelashes : $6.00
Raised (not permanent) scars : $20.00
Manicures : $30.00

Services I do not offer commissions on:
- Ear Piercing, modifications, resin dyeing, ….
There are 3 different types of face ups you can choose from.
Artist choice! $150 USD
Do you have a doll head that has been sitting in your
drawer and you have no idea what sort of character to
create? Then this is the perfect option for you! I will have
total control over what sort of face up to paint without any
input from the customer. If you want, you can include a wig
and a pair of eyes and I’ll build around it but other than
that it will be a surprise!
Partial choice! $175 USD
Customer can choose : face up style (Dreamy Air,
Daydreaming, or Fantasy), eyebrow color,
cheek color, lip color and overall mood. No other
instruction. Everything else will be my choice.
Customer choice! $225 USD
Customer will have total control! For those customers that
have a specific character in mind. Please pick your face
up style (Dreamy Air, or Fantasy) and fill
out the face up form.
